Featuring two new original tracks.
Stockholm-based producer and DJ EMPHI returns with a new EP, ‘The Watcher,’ out now via Melorama Música. The project marks his latest contribution to the progressive house landscape, continuing a run of outings on labels such as Meanwhile, Balance, Solis, and Mango Alley.
Opening the record, ‘The Watcher’ pivots into darker territory. The track leans on grounded percussion and weightier rhythmic patterns, while fragmented vocal elements and evolving melodic details shape a more introspective mood. Its arrangement unfolds with controlled tension, moving between shadowy passages and fleeting harmonic relief.
On the flip side, ‘Cosmic Arrival’ sets a forward-driving tone, anchored by a dense low-end and a rolling rhythmic structure. Gradual chord movements and shimmering tonal layers expand the track’s atmosphere, balancing dancefloor functionality with a sense of lift and progression. A brief breakdown introduces a moment of suspension before the groove re-emerges with renewed momentum.
The release underscores EMPHI’s approach to progressive house-melding emotional depth with precise rhythmic construction, while further reinforcing Melorama’s growing catalogue. Supported by artists such as Hernán Cattáneo, Alex O’Rion, and Ezequiel Arias, he continues to build an international presence with a sound that bridges atmosphere and dancefloor intent.
