Empire of the Sun have released ‘Alive (Reimagined)’, a new remix EP featuring five reworks of their 2013 global hit ‘Alive’. The package is available now via Universal Music Australia and Capitol Records.

‘Alive (Reimagined)’ features a selection of genre-spanning remixes crafted for the dancefloor. The EP includes fresh takes from SG Lewis, Zedd, David Guetta, DJ HEARTSTRING, and Alok — each version offering a distinct twist while preserving the track’s signature melodic energy.

SG Lewis delivers a late-night club interpretation driven by pulsing synths and hypnotic grooves, adding to his resume of high-profile collaborations with artists like Dua Lipa and Elton John. The remix follows a banner year for the UK producer, with appearances at Coachella, All Points East, and Glastonbury.

Zedd and David Guetta also contribute their previously released fan-favorite remixes, infusing the song with their own upbeat, polished styles. Other highlights include DJ HEARTSTRING’s emotive trance-tech hybrid and a darker, propulsive version by Brazilian artist Alok.

Originally released in 2013 as the lead single from Empire of the Sun’s second album ‘Ice on the Dune’, ‘Alive’ became a breakout moment for the Australian duo. The song earned five-times Platinum status in Australia, charted globally, and featured in FIFA 14. With over 700 million streams to date, it remains a defining anthem in their catalog.
