Energy 52 is set to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their iconic ‘Café del Mar’. The landmark will be signaled with the release of a series of brand new remixes, alongside the finest existing remixes in specially remastered versions.
Named as an homage to the legendary Ibiza sunset spot, Paul M recorded ‘Café del Mar’, unleashing a cross-genre hybrid that would shape club culture in its own way. Breaking down boundaries between the underground and the mainstream, ‘Café del Mar’ charted in the UK singles charts on three separate occasions.
Now, almost 30 years after its release, Superstition Records will be rolling out a new series of releases, with brand new remixes as well as remastered versions of some of the many remixes from across the last three decades.
The vinyl-only remastered series will see its first installment in September, featuring remastered versions of the original and Three‘N One mixes.
