Michael Mayer and Orbital have breathed new life into Energy 52’s legendary trance track, ‘Café Del Mar’. This song has mesmerized listeners for over three decades since its debut in 1993. The revitalized versions are now available via Superstition Records.
The release features a double-A package containing two compelling remixes. These fresh takes on the anthem, originally crafted by Kid Paul and Cosmic Baby, showcase a euphoric breakbeat in one remix and a hypnotic acid touch in the other.
Recognized as a significant piece in European dance music, ‘Café Del Mar’, named after a renowned Ibiza sunset spot, has undergone numerous remixes over the years. Energy 52’s own 1998 version remains one of the most memorable. Recently, music icons like Paul van Dyk, Ricardo Villalobos, deadmau5, and Tale of Us have reinterpreted the track. The remix by Tale of Us commemorated the original’s 25th anniversary.
