Enrico Sangiuliano has unveiled ‘Absence’, the final EP in his NINETOZERO countdown series. The release is set for March 19th, 2026, via his own ephemeral imprint, closing the conceptual cycle behind the project.

With ‘Absence’, the Italian producer reaches the symbolic point of zero, triggering the planned end of the NINETOZERO label. Conceived as a finite creative arc, the imprint followed a countdown structure that reflected different stages of creation, reflection, and transformation.

Sangiuliano describes the project as a cycle rooted in sound, silence, and change. NINETOZERO is a cycle of listening, making, and letting go. Born from silence, shaped by space, directed by reflection, altered by change, revealed by glitch, unified through interconnection, lifted toward transcendence, refined by discipline, clarified by chaos, and finally returned to absence.”

The EP’s main track, ‘Step Into The End’, unfolds as a ten-minute techno piece built around driving rhythm and dramatic orchestral touches. Violin textures, horn swells, and spoken invocations frame the track’s structure as it moves toward a climactic convergence. Sangiuliano describes it as the moment where “all we’ve learned converges into a single point where presence and silence merge.” The digital release also includes a shorter edit of the track.

The title piece, ‘Absence’, takes a more conceptual direction. Built around near-silence and subtle environmental noise captured in the studio, the composition places the focus on the act of listening itself. Reflecting on the concept, Sangiuliano explains: “With ‘Absence’ we come full circle, back to the womb of nothingness but charged with the echo of everything we have experienced. It is an ending, yes, but also an invitation. A new kind of silence is born, shaped by the memory of every frequency we unleashed.”

The record closes with ‘The Aftermath’, a brief spoken coda that signals the end of both the EP and the NINETOZERO imprint. The full tracklist also includes the digital-only edit of ‘Step Into The End’, alongside the original mixes of ‘Absence’ and ‘The Aftermath’.
