London-based DJ and producer, Erol Alkan, has revitalized his debut track ‘A Hold On Love’ a decade after its initial release. His music label, Phantasy, recently unveiled two creative reinterpretations of this well-loved song.
To celebrate the tenth anniversary of its release, Alkan has reimagined ‘Hold On Love’ into two soundscapes. The ‘dyna-mix’ remix ventures into the realms of dub and psychedelia, offering an innovative take on the serene harmonies of the original song.
Conversely, the ‘trip-mix’ remix gives the track a faster pace, resulting in a version that vibrates with speed. Despite the quicker tempo, it maintains the complex musical layers and rich sonic landscapes that are characteristic of Alkan’s fusion of house, electro, techno, and alternative genres.
