Everything But The Girl have announced a greatest hits collection titled ‘The Best of Everything But The Girl’. The 16-track set spans 40 years of Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt’s work and arrives November 18th, 2025, on Buzzin’ Fly/Chrysalis.
The compilation brings together modern material, including 2023’s ‘Nothing Left To Lose’, alongside beloved ’90s crossover moments such as ‘Walking Wounded’, ‘Tracey In My Room’, and Todd Terry’s remix of ‘Missing’.
“We always liked albums that had a fast side and a slow side,” says Thorn. “So we thought we’d start with the bangers and wind down with the ballads.” Watt adds: “It also makes the album run backwards in time. It gives you a sense of clubland back to bedsit, a journey that to us feels very real. And at the end, we pair the modern-day ‘Run a Red Light’ with how we started ‘Night and Day’.“
