On December 7th, electronic music icon Laurent Garnier will take over the decks at fabric, celebrating the launch of his ‘fabric presents’ mix. This event celebrates a year-long collaboration between Garnier and fabric, commemorating the club’s 25-year legacy.
Laurent Garnier is set to headline Room 2, sharing the stage with Works of Intent. In Room 1, Ron Trent and Serenda will command the decks, showcasing their distinct styles. Room 3, curated by Circa Groove, will feature sets by Thorgerdur, Rupert Ellis, and Will Mellor. This diverse lineup promises an eclectic and immersive auditory experience across all three rooms.
The collaboration between Laurent Garnier and fabric presents is much more than just this event. The fabric presents Laurent Garnier mix will be released physically on November 29th, available as a deluxe vinyl and on CD, making it a collector’s item. This release will also include an exclusive four-track EP, showcasing Garnier’s versatility and celebrating the historic Farringdon venue.
Speaking about the significance of joining the fabric presents series, fabric shared: “After 20-plus years of choosing artists to record mixes for our original fabric and FABRICLIVE series, up to the current ‘fabric presents’, we drew up a shortlist of acts we all admire who had not yet recorded a mix for us. This person’s career had to match the club’s lifespan and the musical generational changes we’ve all been through to join us in our 25-year series. Laurent stood out, having first played in 2002 and always returned when he had the chance to play for us.”
As part of its 25-year celebrations, fabric will also be participating in ADE Pro this year. Laurent Garnier will be joining conversations with journalist Joe Muggs on October 16th.
