Fouk has released their latest project, the ‘Sundays’ EP, via the Boogie Angst label. The three-track record sees the Dutch duo of Daniel Leseman and Hans Peeman collaborating with a diverse roster of international artists.
The lead track, ‘Tune It Out,’ features The Phenomenal Handclap Band. It is built on a mid-tempo groove characterized by interlocking guitar riffs and precise bass lines, drawing influence from late 70s NYC disco and early post-disco sounds.
‘Reverie’ follows, featuring the New York-based group 79.5. This production centers on syncopated synth bass, analog percussion, and electric piano stabs, blending elements of mid-80s pop with contemporary house music. The EP concludes with the title track, ‘Sundays,’ a collaboration with Parisian duo Archil & Leon. The song incorporates organic textures and mechanical sound experiments within a melodic, synth-heavy framework.
Fouk has established a reputation for meticulous production since their debut, previously releasing music on labels such as Heist Recordings and Room with a View.
