Frederick Dunson, founder of the Frankie Knuckles Foundation (FKF), is scheduled to appear at the upcoming IMS Ibiza 2024 program. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the death of the legendary ‘Godfather of House’, Frankie Knuckles.
The program will include an exclusive segment called ‘Celebrating The Godfather of House: 10 Years of The Frankie Knuckles Foundation’. This segment aims to honor the life and achievements of the late Frankie Knuckles and will be co-hosted by Maria May of CAA, who also serves on the FKF board.
Frankie Knuckles, who passed away ten years ago, is universally respected for his groundbreaking to the international House Sound. His innovative work continues to inspire a new generation of producers and DJs, and his enduring legacy is preserved by the Frankie Knuckles Foundation.
The Frankie Knuckles Foundation, a non-profit organization, is committed to advancing Frankie Knuckles’ vision. As a global ambassador of house music, the foundation aims to promote this genre through various channels, such as media, preservation, and public events. The foundation also strongly supports causes that were important to Frankie.
The foundation’s dedication extends to providing education and supporting initiatives that benefit the LGBTQIA+ communities, and promoting AIDS prevention.
