Fred again… has announced the official digital release of his back-to-back performance with Thomas Bangalter from Daft Punk, recorded during his recent residency at London’s Alexandra Palace. The set, which concluded his four-night USB002 tour stop, will be available to stream on YouTube starting Saturday, March 28th.
The performance marked a rare public appearance for Bangalter, serving as only his second DJ set in nearly two decades. The French artist joined the stage as the final surprise guest of the residency, following appearances by high-profile acts including Underworld, Jamie T, and Nia Archives.
The recorded set features a series of exclusive edits and mash-ups. Notable moments include a blend of Daft Punk’s ‘Aerodynamic’ with ‘Victory Lap 5,’ alongside a hybrid of ‘Harder Better Faster Stronger’ and ‘Delilah.’ The duo closed the night with a transition from Gil Scott-Heron into ‘One More Time.’
Speculation regarding a formal studio collaboration between the two artists has increased following the residency, though no official project has been confirmed.
The video premieres March 28th at 5 PM UK time and 12 PM EST time.
