Fur Coat and Olivier Giacomotto have debuted their first collaboration, ‘The Wall in the Mirror,’ on Truesoul. Their partnership began in late 2023, with the release of Giacomotto’s ‘Empty Space’ EP on Fur Coat’s Øddity label. Recognizing the French’s distinctive sound, the Venezuelan decided to embark on a joint project.
‘The Wall in the Mirror’ begins with ‘Wall,’ a track that immerses listeners with its deep, enchanting vocal chants. These crescendo into a potent mix of synths and percussion, establishing a powerful atmosphere. The second track, ‘Mirror,’ captivates with its central vocal and emotional depth.
Fur Coat, a long-time admirer of Olivier’s work, was thrilled to collaborate on this project. The duo met through a mutual friend, BOg, at an Atlant showcase in Beirut. They subsequently collaborated online, and after several months, their collection was ready for Truesoul.
