Following their recently revealed 25th anniversary exhibition, ‘House of Kong,’ Gorillaz have also announced four very special shows in London, where the band will be performing their first three albums – ‘Gorillaz,’ ‘Demon Days,’ and ‘Plastic Beach’– in full, with a special Mystery Show to close the series. These performances aim to recreate iconic moments from their early live shows.
The limited-capacity live events will be held at London’s Copper Box Arena on August 29th/30th and September 2nd /3rd, 2025. These shows will coincide with the final week of the ‘House of Kong’ exhibition, running from August 8th to September 3rd at the same venue. Each concert will feature the band, led by Damon Albarn and accompanied by Jamie Hewlett’s iconic visuals,
The first show on August 29th will revisit Gorillaz’s self-titled debut album from 2001, recreating their early performances which revolutionized live music by placing animated band members Murdoc, Noodle, Russel, and 2D at the forefront through Hewlett’s visuals. On August 30th, they will perform their second release, ‘Demon Days,’ in full, reviving the LP’s live shows.
The series continues on September 2nd with a full performance of ‘Plastic Beach,’ the band’s third album, which has not been performed in its entirety since 2010. Inspired by a fictional floating island of debris in the South Pacific, their live rendition will bring its innovative sound and imagery to life. The run concludes on September 3rd with a Mystery Show, featuring special guests alongside Albarn and the Gorillaz live band.
‘House of Kong’ exhibition ticket holders will have priority access to purchase tickets for these exclusive shows. Tickets for the four concerts will be available on May 30th, 2025.
