With the help of Bootie Brown.
Gorillaz, everyone’s favorite animated band, has just unveiled its latest single with the drop of ‘New Gold’. The new collaborative cut, which finds Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett liking up with acclaimed psych-rockers Tame Impala and Bootie Brown, is the second glimpse into the band’s forthcoming ‘Cracker Island’ album.
‘New Gold’ follows up on the release of ‘Cracker Island’, the lead track of the upcoming record, that saw Gorillaz collaborating with Thundercat. The incoming LP “is the sound of change and the chorus of the collective”, according to the band’s guitarist, Noodle. ‘Cracker Island’ will also feature further collaborations, including works with Bad Bunny and Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks.
