Gorillaz have hinted at new music as part of their 25th anniversary celebrations. In a recent interview with Channel 4, Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett discussed their upcoming four-date run at London’s Copper Box Arena, with Albarn revealing that the final night will be a “mystery” set. When asked if it would feature new material, he replied, “There might. I mean, yes, in that sense, yeah,” while Hewlett joked by pretending to cut his throat.
The shows run from August 29th to September 2nd, featuring the band’s first three albums before the mystery finale. Alongside this, the House of Kong exhibition at London’s Copper Box offers an immersive behind-the-scenes look at Gorillaz’s journey, with fans speculating it may include unreleased music and artwork.
Earlier this year, Albarn revealed that his plans for 2025 included “finishing a new Gorillaz album”.
