Gorillaz has decided to pay tribute to Tony Allen, who has recently passed away, with the release of a new collaboration. The song features the late member of Fela Kuti and Skepta. The track was recorded in London, just before the coronavirus outbreak and subsequent lockdown.
Tony Allen was a regular contributor and collaborator, having worked with Gorillaz founder throughout his career. He was also a member of The Good, the Bad & the Queen supergroup, alongside Damon Albarn, The Clash’s Paul Simonon, and Simon Tong from The Verve.
