Graeme Park has shared an update following recent throat and neck surgery to remove a tumour. The former Haçienda resident, central to the acid house movement of the late 1980s and 1990s, first announced the news on October 23rd via his official blog.

He explained that a lump discovered in July led to scans, tests, and hospital visits, which ultimately revealed a tumour requiring surgical removal. As a result, scheduled performances in Bolton and Manchester were cancelled.

Posting on Instagram the same day, Park told fans he would be stepping away temporarily but planned to share updates during his recovery.

Over the weekend, he followed up with a new post thanking fans “for all of your wonderful and kind messages of support” and confirming that the surgery “went to plan.” He added that he would be returning home in a few days.

Further updates are expected in the weeks ahead.
