Australian DJ and producer HARLEY GIRL has unveiled his latest EP, ‘The Music’. Out now via Mammal Sounds, the five-track collection builds on the momentum of recent singles and reaffirms his growing presence in the country’s electronic scene.
Following the release of four high-energy cuts — ‘Gimme !’, ‘The Music’, ‘Turn Up The Sound’, and ‘1Mhz*’ — HARLEY GIRL now completes the EP with the addition of ‘Nobody (Like You)’. The new track, driven by a dynamic synth line, brings the project full circle with a blend of tension and release.
“I started with the main synth line, which kind of reminds me of a rubber band being stretched out,” HARLEY GIRL explains. “I wanted the track to have that same kind of feeling and energy — like it could tear apart at any moment.”
‘The Music’ arrives as HARLEY GIRL’s second EP of 2025, following ‘legitimate dj behaviour’. While created spontaneously, the new project carries a deeper emotional resonance, with thumping rhythms and playful synths that reflect both urgency and relief.
“To me, this EP felt like it came out of nowhere,” he shares. “When I wrote the title track, it really became apparent that music is such a reprieve for me from the craziness of the world, and I wanted this EP to be that for other people as well.”
