Hercules & Love Affair return with a new EP, ‘Someone Else Is Calling’, set for release on December 12th, 2025, via Los Angeles imprint StrataSonic. The project’s lead single, also titled ‘Someone Else Is Calling’, is out now.
A co-production between Andy Butler and Paranoid London’s Quinn Whalley, the new material marks a renewed embrace of dance culture. Fronted by Icelandic vocalist Elín Ey (aka Hips & Lips), the title track is a driving acid cut that channels new wave energy through a disco-inflected lens. Lyrically, it reflects themes of self-possession and emotional release, mirroring Butler’s own shift from New York to Belgium and rediscovery of the communal power of underground dancefloors.
Directed by Tatsumi Milori, the accompanying video captures Mexico City’s vibrant nightlife, celebrating fluid identities and raw, ecstatic connection. It offers a visual parallel to the EP’s physicality and urgency, tying together innocence, experience, and the pulse of now.
