The festival curated by Craig Richards and produced by Gottwood will repeat the countryside gathering in 2018.
Last year Houghton’s was its first festival experience, having a massive response and inviting a very selected group of worldwide musicians and artists. Recently the organizers have shared the first wave of artists for the 2018 edition.
Some of the finest underground talent like Ricardo Villalobos, Andrew Weatherall, Seth Troxler, Nicolas Lutz, Ben UFO, Ivan Smagghe, Roman Flügel, Joy Orbison, Magda, Sonja Moonear, Optimo, Margaret Dygas and Midland will be repeating this year, as new members like Zip, Prosumer, Pearson Sound, The Mole, Luca Lozano, Barac, will make their debut. Also, Mr. Scruff, Vladimir Ivkovoic, Jonny Rock and Mixmaster Morris will be showcasing an alternative side of the festival.
Placing an emphasis on live performances the music gathering presents a musical palette including Monolake, Smagghe & Cross, Claro Intelecto, Nathan Fake, Mathew Jonson, Radioactive Man, Emperor Machine, DMX Krew, Midnight Magic and Mashrou’ Leila.
Craig Richards comments: “By presenting music, art and a promised experience in an honest and restrained way meant those four days in Norfolk last year were not only magical but they were believable. The setting proved to be nothing but perfect. Our aim is to build on the foundations of last year’s success, but instead of growing we’re sticking to the story with minor improvements and a strong belief in the initial concept. Artists, DJ’s and musicians will be presented with meritocracy and equality. Everyone who performs will be given a chance to shine and everyone who attends will be treated to the best of everything.”
Houghton will be taking place in Norfolk, United Kingdom on August 9th to 12th. Tickets for will go on sale on February 1st, 2018.
