Bedouin invite Atsou, Umami, and Djupa Hav on ‘Never Wanted To Be’

Bedouin’s record label, has recently released a new EP titled ‘Never Wanted To Be’, featuring Atsou, Umami, and Djupa Hav.

Atsou, who is known for his contribution to the afro house genre, is making his debut on the label. Umami, the duo that is influenced by rock, jazz, and electronic music, has received critical acclaim from DJs and dance floors all around the world for their releases on Human by Default. Djupa Hav is providing the vocals and lyrics for the songs, making their first contribution to the label.

Bedouin has curated a diverse tracklist, featuring ethereal beats and sweeping acoustic soundscapes that are a signature of the label. The title track ‘Never Wanted To Be’ combines a mysterious vocal, a pulsing bassline, and laid-back, rhythmic drum work. ‘Water’ features shifting percussive layers, a sung arpeggio, and ghostly synths. Finally, the dub version of ‘Serial Offender’ moves through a mesh of strung, organic melodies, delicate bass pads, and sleek production.
