Innellea just announced his debut album project entitled ‘The Belonging’. The LP will be released under the artist’s new imprint, Distorted Youth, in collaboration with [PIAS] Électronique. It is scheduled to be released on February 9th, 2024.
The album will feature collaborations with a list of renowned artists such as Flowdan, Monolink, CamelPhat, Karin Park, Juan Hansen, among others.
The lead single from the album, ‘Silence’ featuring Maurice Kaar, has already been released with a video. The cut introduces a dystopian soundscape characterized by bass chords and a minimalistic synth melody. Kaar’s voice powerfully expresses themes of isolation, yearning, and the desire for connection. The beats gradually build up to a distorted crescendo, giving listeners a preview of what the album has in store.
The ‘Belonging’ project is a multimedia concept that includes the 2024 album, accompanying singles, music videos, creative use of social media, and an upcoming live tour. Innellea’s music and visuals take listeners on a journey of reconciliation and belonging, offering hope amidst alienation and violence.
