EG: Hey Avi Sic, welcome to EG! How are you?

Avi Sic: Great, thanks for having me.

EG: 2023 is here and we’d like to know more about your plans and upcoming projects, do you have any new releases coming up?

Avi Sic: I had a March 15th release on Uprise Music’s imprint Future Cuts called ‘Tension’ that I’m really excited about.

EG: How about live shows, how does your live show schedule look like for the coming months?

Avi Sic: My live schedule is packed, super happy about that – you can find my upcoming shows on my website. A few highlights – I’ll be doing support for Wuki in May and playing at the Heatwave Festival in June where Tiesto is headlining.

EG: Are there any special venues you’d like to perform at this year?

Avi Sic: Space Miami and Academy LA would be a dream for me.

“Maintaining my weekly radio show ‘Late Checkout’ is my biggest side project”

EG: Do you have new upcoming collaborations? Are there other artists you’d like to work with?

Avi Sic: I have a few collabs in the process. There’s so much talent I’d love to work with, especially UK rappers.

EG: Are there any other projects you’re embarking upon this year?

Avi Sic: Maintaining my weekly radio show ‘Late Checkout’ is my biggest side project. You can listen to that on all platforms here. I have so many cool guests coming up like Sikdope, SKIY, and also top club DJs Mister Gray and Rick Wonder.

EG: Is there a new implementation to your production workflow or your live performances you’d like to try this year?

Avi Sic: Mostly maintaining what I’ve set up for myself. Working hard but also trying to enjoy my downtime a bit more and give myself some breaks.

EG: On a personal note, are there any new resolutions you made for yourself this year?

Avi Sic: My goal is to release one track a month, whether it be an official release on a label or a remix/edit. Proud to say that I’m on track for that!

“I would love to have similar continued achievements with other releases. It would also be a milestone to have a DJ I look up to play one of my tracks live in their sets”

EG: What new milestones would you like to achieve with your music?

Avi Sic: I made it to my first Beatport Top 100 chart with my recent bass house single ‘In Your Face’. I would love to have similar continued achievements with other releases. It would also be a milestone to have a DJ I look up to play one of my tracks live in their sets.

EG: What’s the most important thing you’re looking forward to this year?

Avi Sic: Just trying to enjoy the ride and appreciate all the musical moments I’m having no matter how big or small. Looking forward to an upward trajectory.
