Tim Enso, aka Artemiy Reimich, is an electronic music producer, DJ, and saxophonist currently bringing his euphoria-drenched melodies to the global stage. His style blurs the line between progressive and melodic house as he weaves enchanted sound design into death-defying drops. Based in Los Angeles, the highly energetic artist has been igniting dancefloors with his mesmerizing melodies for some time now. He got his start in music at a young age when he picked up the violin, piano, saxophone, and accordion. Years later he delved deep into the world of production and started crafting uplifting electronic anthems that push the boundaries of what’s possible in the genre.
EG caught up with Tim Enso to learn more about the drop of his ‘Babylon’ EP on Sudam Recordings, his summer, future projects, and more.
EG: Hi Tim! Welcome to EG. It’s a pleasure to have you here with us. Where are you based right now? How have things been going this year?
Tim Enso: Hi guys, thank you for having me! It’s a pleasure to be featured on EG. I currently live in Los Angeles, California. Everything is going pretty well so far.
EG: What was your Summer like? Any particular highlights?
Tim Enso: Summer was great as always, it’s my favorite season of the year. A lot of parties, especially my favorite daytime ones, and the main highlight was my first trip to Burning Man this year. It was incredible, it’s hard to explain how cool it was. In my opinion, it is the best music festival I’ve ever been to.
EG: By the way, congratulations on the release of your ‘Babylon’ EP on Sudam Recordings! What has the initial reception been like?
Tim Enso: Thank you. It is actually my first EP release so far and I’m really happy to collaborate with Sudam Recordings. We have received a lot of positive feedback from distinguished DJs so far including Joris Voorn, Yamil, Diass, Valeron, Gareth Emery, Sasson, Camilo Franco, and more.
EG: Coming from a more ‘classical’ background, how did you come to blend Eastern melodies with electronic music?
Tim Enso: I’m a big fan of Middle Eastern culture and I really love their melodies. Plus it’s a trendy vibe now in electronic music, especially in the deep house scene, so I kind of inspired by these sounds.
“I’m really happy to collaborate with Sudam Recordings. We have received a lot of positive feedback”
EG: What does your studio look like at the moment? Any new soft or hardware that you’d recommend?
Tim Enso: I have what they call a “bedroom studio” right now, but would love to have my own studio in the future. I work with Ableton and I think it’s the best software for electronic music. I use it a lot.
EG: How do you keep entertained when you’re not in the studio? Any good books, movies, or series you’d recommend?
Tim Enso: When I’m not working on my projects, I enjoy reading business books about the music industry, listening to some lifestyle podcasts, working out at the gym, and I also practice meditation and Qigong. My favorite book is ‘The Teachings of Don Juan’, by Carlos Castaneda.
EG: What’s next for Tim Enso? What particular milestones are you looking forwards to now?
Tim Enso: I’m currently working on our new project called ‘Heart of Gold’, with my good friend Gareth Berrow. It’s our DJ duo known for cinematically flowing disco house dance grooves and live saxophone performances.
EG: Thank you so much for your time, Tim! We wish you all the best for the future.
Tim Enso: Thank you EG!
