Vešča, an Argentinean DJ/producer, established herself in the electronic music realm in 2018, excelling in the Progressive House genre. Signed to Traful and Japanese imprint Mango Alley, Vešča has been delighting audiences with her latest tracks and finest mixes, having already shared the stage with artists such as Miss Monique, Korolova, Popof, Gorje Hewek, AMÉMÉ, and many more.
EG caught up with Vešča to learn more about her music, the move from BA to Cancún, her future plans, expectations, and much more.
EG: Hi Agostina! Welcome to EG. It’s a pleasure to have you here with us. Where are you based right now?
Vešča: Hi guys, it’s a pleasure, thank you for the interview. My base is in Cancún, México, I have been living here for two years now.
EG: Definitely a great place to be. Let’s dig into this…We’d like to get to know you in depth. How did you come across electronic dance music? Do you remember what it was that drew you in?
Vešča: Ever since I was young, I had this passion for music in general. I was always in charge of music at social events with my friends, and then I was introduced to electronic music. I liked it so much that I decided to start studying music.
EG: When did you decide to make the move to Cancun from Argentina? Was it motivated by music?
Vešča: I moved to Cancún in 2020. Before that, I lived in Perú for 3 years, where I began to study and practice DJing. I traveled to México to visit a friend, loved it and I decided to move because there were more opportunities as a DJ here.
EG: How did you decide to give music production a go? What was that process like?
Vešča: I started studying music production in 2019, taking a few classes, it was something I really wanted to do. I feel that it is a means to transmit my energy and feelings to others. The process was not easy, and I still have a lot to learn.

EG: By the way, this year has seen your first releases ever, right? Congratulations! How do you feel about them? How would you describe your sound?
Vešča: Thank you so much. And yes, right, this year I had my first release with a record label, and for 2023, I have already signed with another label, so you will have news about that release soon,
I am very happy to see the results of so much work and dedication. When I produce, I always look for sounds that have incredible energy, accompanied by a groovy sound that gets listeners moving.
EG: What would you say is your “dream goal” when it comes to music? Where do you see yourself years from now?
Vešča: I have many “dream goals”. One of them is that my music reaches every person in the whole world, to be able to transmit and share this feeling of love for the music.
In a few years, I see myself playing at the biggest festivals, producing for important record labels with great artists.
EG: How do keep entertained when not in the studio? Any good music, books, or series you’d recommend? Where do you go looking for inspiration?
Vešča: I really like going to the gym, meeting with friends, and watching series in my free time. The last one I saw and recommend is ‘Black Bird’. This month I followed the Argentine soccer team throughout the World Cup games. I am very happy that we have been crowned world champions!
Almost all the time my inspiration comes from the studio where I create my tacks.
EG: How would you describe your local scene? What could it be doing better?
Vešča: The local scene here is very varied and there are really good DJs, but I feel that it is not 100% exploited, more people are needed to invest in new local projects to take advantage of all the talent there.

EG: What’s next for Vešča? What particular milestones are you looking forwards to now? Where can your fans catch you next?
Vešča: I have just dropped a new video set this past December. I’ve got my next big show this April, at the Empire Music Fest in Guatemala for the second time, and my new release in May with Mango Alley.
