The progressive house genre has been with us for over 20 years, and it’s still going stronger than ever. That’s thanks to the dedicated artists who stay true to the sound and the promoters who create space for it to thrive.

Super Progressive is all of these things rolled into one: a fan, promoter, DJ, content creator, and a growing brand pushing the scene forward. With a passion that’s unmistakable, Will Noglows – aka Super Progressive – is as committed as they come. From digging up the rarest throwback videos to interviewing the scene’s most iconic figures, his Instagram following has skyrocketed, surpassing 100,000 this year alone. Since then, Will has continued to dive deep into the world of progressive in every aspect of the music business. When he’s not DJing in the booth, you’ll also find him cutting a rug on the dance floor like a true fan.

William has brought Super Progressive to clubs all over the UK, including one of our favourite venues, Skyline in Glasgow, and The Bricks in London, where we went for the first time on July 5th, 2025.

His new Super Progressive event series launched in March, in collaboration with close friend and fellow DJ/producer, Lloyd Barwood. It’s a daytime party, which makes it more accessible for everyone traveling for the party, plus day raves are great for keeping your sleep rhythm in check. Our first impression was that this was a party for friends to come together to support each other, with both Will and Lloyd on the lineup for each event before their guest headliner.

The debut event welcomed one of the UK’s finest, Quivver, followed by one of our all-time favorites, Danny Howells, in May. We attended the third event, we were treated to the UK debut of one of Australia’s fastest-rising progressive exports – Mike Rish – and we were thrilled to finally catch him live.

We love a day party, so we headed down to the venue early, taking in the history of the Brixton neighbourhood, which surprisingly included walking down Electric Avenue, the inspiration for the legendary song by Eddy Grant. This gave us an extra bounce in our step to catch Super Progressive kick off the day from 2 pm. His set laid down a beautiful groove until 4 pm, when Lloyd Barwood took over.

Given his reputation as a historian of house music, Will could have easily focused on only playing classics of the progressive genre. Instead, his set was filled with tracks from up-and-coming progressive talents, including ‘Lumina’ by Solis [US], ‘Luminor’ by Nicolas Viana, and ‘Keep My Letters’ by Jesuan M, which was the energetic peak of the set.

By the time Lloyd took over, the dance floor was buzzing with smiles, and the tunes were hitting, like Lloyd’s new track ‘Chain of Thoughts’, which is still unreleased, but we’re confident it’ll find a great home soon on some lucky label.

Then came the headliner: Mike Rish, fresh into a four-month UK and European tour. We only recently learned of Mike through some amazing tracks like Sunset on Mars, and his latest ‘Platform’ EP released on Australia’s Vapour label. Hearing new artists for the first time is something we love, and we got that experience all day long. Everything flowed, and once Mike came on, we were ready for the rolling, dark, hypnotic beats that ensued. He kept us surprised with each new track and glued to the dance floor. Progressive sets are hard to get right; they can begin to sound monotonous, but with the most subtle layers of beats, progressive takes you on a journey that only clued-in fans of the genre understand. Mike’s journey was everything we needed that day; he kept the crowd locked in with expertly crafted transitions and layered tension, proving he’s a name to watch closely.

Throughout the day, we were happy to feel so welcomed by such a friendly crowd, and the bar staff who even served free sparkling water. In a time when some venues charge absurd prices for tiny bottles, this small gesture was hugely appreciated. The venue is intimate with a great sound system, two key ingredients that launched underground clubbing. With so many venues competing over flashy audio visuals, sometimes less is more. This venue took us back to the early days, when nothing else mattered except the music!

The event wrapped up at 9 pm – a perfect hour for a Saturday night. As dusk fell over London, we left glowing from our first Super Progressive experience. One we’ll definitely be repeating.

The series continues with the next Super Progressive Day Party taking place at Skyline in Glasgow on Saturday, 26th July. It’s an intimate, passionate space for true progressive lovers – and we’re more than happy to recommend it!
