Madrid-born DJ, producer, and promoter Ivan Smoka steps into the spotlight with his latest session for the EG Spotlight series, available now on SoundCloud and Mixcloud. A figure shaped by decades of deep musical immersion, the Spanish artist brings an analog warmth and storytelling touch to this new entry.
EG Spotlight.316 is a journey through machine-led grooves, playful electro textures, and hypnotic house rhythms. Carefully assembled and emotionally guided, the mix reflects Ivan’s bond with his gear—intuitive, expressive, and alive.
The tracklist features music by Thaddeus X, Disco Felino, Kurt Kjergaard, Ekkohouse, and Cycle, along with original and collaborative works spanning Smoka’s projects Gatos Negros, Superama 3am, and his many solo productions. Several unreleased cuts add a further layer of exclusivity.
With roots in Madrid’s club legacy—from Coppelia 101 to Absenta—Smoka has performed at Sónar, FIB, Supperclub (Amsterdam), Café del Mar (Sicily), and Mono (CDMX). As a producer, his catalog extends across labels like Mobilee, Akbal, Lucid Flow, Blindetonation, and Minuendo, with support from tastemakers including Tim Sweeney and Bill Brewster.
