James Blake, has launched Vault, a new music platform designed to disrupt industry norms and provide a fresh earning model for artists.
The platform enables artists to release music as they wish. Operating on a subscription model, fans can access exclusive, unreleased tracks from their favorite musicians for a small monthly fee.
The goal of Vault is to build a community. It includes a chat feature for music discussions and provides musicians a space to interact with fans about concerts, upcoming releases, and other updates. Additional features are set to be announced soon.
Blake has released five exclusive tracks to establish a direct connection with his audience, eliminating any intermediaries that might limit his music. As a promotional strategy, Vault allows subscribers to access the artist’s unreleased tracks for just US$ 5 a month.
