Joiah recently released his latest EP entitled ‘Maracuya,’ which is now available through Picnic Records.
The two-track EP combines various sensory elements, emotions, and Colombian influences to create an engaging and captivating musical journey. Through the use of organic recordings, soundscapes, jazz breaks, acid modulations, and vocals, the artist aims to provide a truly immersive and multi-sensory experience.
The first cut, ‘Maracuya,’ transports listeners to the vibrant streets of Cali, Colombia. With its beats and sonic textures, Joiah captures the lively atmosphere, allowing listeners to feel fully immersed in its energy. In the second one, ‘Reflections,’ she explores the transition from a house setting to a club scenario. By combining progressive breaks, chord progressions, and vocals, the DJ and producer creates a seamless and dynamic musical journey that sparks both introspection and movement.
