Josh Baker closes out 2025 with the release of his new five-track EP ‘Come Closer’, out now on his You&Me imprint. The project arrives after a milestone year of global touring, chart success, and the tenth anniversary of the Manchester-born label.
The EP follows the impact of Baker’s recent collaborations ‘Leave A Message’ with Poppy Wright and Trick Shady, and ‘Dr Feel Right’ alongside Egyptian Lover and Rome Fortune — both mainstays on dancefloors throughout the summer and autumn. Now, ‘Come Closer’ distills 18 months of road-tested experience and studio focus into a sonically diverse statement.
“Five tracks on my beloved You&Me Records, each one representing a different shade of what I’ve been cooking over the last 18 months,” says Josh.
The title track ‘Come Closer’ (feat. Sienna Sophia) opens with warm chords and subtle vocals that defined his Creamfields headline in August. ‘Subsonic’ leans into a percussive late-night drive, while ‘Signs of Life’ (feat. Lily McKenzie) brings a melodic, vocal-led lift. ‘Description’ heads into glitchy, off-kilter territory, and ‘Free Your Mind’ closes the EP with deep, after-hours energy.
