Vienna-based, Brazil-born producer and FM4 resident Joyce Muniz returns to Exploited with her latest single, ‘Mo Dupe’—a driving, lo-fi Afro Italo track steeped in hypnotic textures and spiritual energy.
Following her 2024 Kompakt single ‘Beats & Lines’ with Sara Bluma, ‘Mo Dupe’ draws on the raw power of ritual vocals from a Nigerian ceremony paying homage to the Goddess of abundance, Oxum. Muniz lays these untreated vocals over a rugged bed of bit-crushed drums, a propulsive bassline, and foggy synths, crafting a dense yet playable cut designed for the club.
The track has already earned DJ support from Arthur Baker, Sasha, Just Her, Deer Jade, and Adriatique, cementing Muniz’s reputation for genre-blurring, groove-led explorations.
