Los Angeles-based composer Julia Holter has recently shared details about her upcoming sixth studio album, titled ‘Something in the Room She Moves.’ The record is set to be released on March 22nd through Domino. Also, to give fans a sneak peek of her new music, the artist has released her single ‘Spinning’ along with a music video.
Holter’s upcoming album incorporates a fusion of electric bass, vocal melodies, and the unique sound of a Yamaha CS-60 synthesizer. The cover art is created by a childhood friend, Christina Quarles.
When discussing the album, Holter expressed her inspiration and vision, stating, “I drew inspiration from the complexity and adaptability of our bodies, resulting in a corporeal focus. I aimed to create a fluid and immersive sound world, reminiscent of water and the internal sounds of the human body.”
