Friday Highlights

We kicked off Friday at The Grid Stage with an ethereal live set from Catching Flies—a perfect warm-up that blended downtempo grooves with lush melodic textures.

From there, we ventured to one of Junction 2’s newest additions: The Hangar. Designed as a pitch-black dome from the outside, the moment you step inside, you’re hit with towering visuals at the front and an intricate laser setup that bounced light from back to front. The layout even allowed for fans to stand behind the DJs—creating a unique and intimate vibe. We were there to catch Tenashee—a B2B between DJ Tennis and Ashee that marked a London debut for the pair. Their chemistry behind the decks was undeniable, delivering a set full of infectious energy and dynamic grooves.

Next up was Enrico Sangiuliano at the legendary Bridge Stage, hosted by Drumcode. As we made our way down the bridge toward the dancefloor, the scale and acoustics of the space were instantly striking. After grabbing a chilled premixed can, we joined the sea of ravers locked into Enrico’s masterful selection of techno classics and hardhitting rollers. His set was a standout—precise, powerful, and deeply satisfying.

Closing out the Bridge Stage was none other than Adam Beyer,  a Junction 2 staple since its inception in 2016. As the sun dipped below the skyline, the Drumcode head honcho delivered a thunderous, high-energy performance filled with hypnotic rhythms, deep basslines, and laser-cut transitions. The crowd was fully locked in, creating a euphoric synergy between sound, space, and people—a true Junction 2 moment.

We wrapped up the night back at The Hangar for a set from Deadmau5. The excitement in the crowd was palpable, with the dome absolutely rammed with fans eager to catch the EDM icon. He kicked off without the signature mau5head, letting the music take centre stage, but halfway through, he slipped it on to a massive crowd reaction. What followed was a masterclass in progressive tension and release, featuring classics like ‘Ghosts ’n’ Stuff’ and ‘The Veldt’, enhanced by mind-bending visuals and precision-synced lasers. The Hangar turned into a full-blown audiovisual playground—and we left buzzing.

Saturday: Deeper, Harder, Wilder

Saturday dialled things up. With the sun peeking through the trees of Boston Manor Park and a stacked lineup ahead, we kicked off the day at The Woods Stage with DVS1. His set was a masterclass in minimal, hypnotic techno—stripped back, slowly building, and immersive. The wooded canopy and gentle daylight added to the atmosphere, making it an ideal way to ease into what would become a high-octane day.

Next, we charged over to The Grid for a relentless set from 999999999. From the first kick drum, the Italian duo came in swinging—pounding acid techno, heavy drums, and frenzied builds that had the entire crowd in a frenzy. Pure, chaotic rave energy at its finest.

We then returned to The Bridge for Daria Kolosova B2B Dr. Rubinstein—a pairing that absolutely delivered. The set twisted and turned through psychedelic grooves, raw techno, and leftfield moments, never once losing momentum. Their chemistry was magnetic, and the crowd couldn’t get enough.

One of the most hyped sets of the day came next: Helena Hauff B2B Dax J at The Hangar. And wow—they went straight in. No warm-up, no easing in, just an all-out blitz of industrial techno, acid, electro, and breakbeat madness. The synergy between Helena and Dax was wild, each track one-upping the last, driving the crowd into a frenzy. The production was off the charts—blinding strobes, laser chaos, and a sound system that shook the entire dome. Intense, uncompromising, and unforgettable.

As night fell, we headed back to The Bridge for Reinier Zonneveld (LIVE), and what followed was one of the most dynamic sets of the weekend. Starting with his signature cinematic techno, the energy quickly escalated. Midway through, the tempo shot up and Reinier shifted gears into hardstyle territory. And then—boom—he unleashed his harder alias Hardkar, closing with a full-force gabber section that blew the crowd away. It was raw, fast, and wild. A sonic explosion that left everyone breathless.

To finish the night, we returned to The Grid for Charlotte de Witte—the queen of techno. Her set was hard-hitting, hypnotic, and laser-focused. Every drop was a sledgehammer, each transition razor-sharp. The stage was at capacity, the energy electric, and the Belgium icon once again why she’s one of the biggest names in the game. A perfect ending to a perfect day.

Final Thoughts

The 2025 edition of Junction 2 was a masterclass in festival programming—balancing underground credibility with large-scale impact. From ambient live acts to full-throttle B2Bs, every moment was curated with care and delivered with precision. Each stage offered its own unique identity—whether you were tucked into the hypnotic woodland vibes of The Woods, inside the visual spectacle of The Hangar, or beneath the industrial arches of The Bridge.

With world-class production, standout performances, and a passionate, up-for-it crowd, Junction 2 once again proved why it’s one of the UK’s most essential electronic festivals.

Roll on next year.
