The feature is due out on International Women’s Day.
Kate Simko has announced that her film score for ‘Underplayed’, the documentary that covers the underrepresentation of women in electronic music, will be coming out tomorrow, March 5th.
‘Underplayed (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)’ features 20 tracks and will be released by Lakeshore Records. The OST arrives ahead of the film’s online release, which is scheduled for March 8th.
‘As a DJ-turned-film composer, this doc was a full-circle moment for me, and the film is very close to my heart’, says Simko about scoring ‘Underplayed’.
The movie, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival back in 2020, was directed by Stacy Lee, and features interviews and commentary by TOKiMONSTA, Louisahhh, Suzanne Ciani, SHERELLE, Nightwave, and TYGAPAW.
