Feedasoul Records presents the debut full-length LP from South African producer KaySoul. Titled ‘Black Rose’, the 10-track album showcases a deeply personal and introspective journey through fatherhood, self-reflection, and creative evolution.
Marked by soulful textures and grounded arrangements, ‘Black Rose’ blends moody late-night grooves with emotional vocal features from OVEOUS, Berenice Van Leer, Zeynep Erbay, and others. From the restrained pulse of ‘Black Rose’ to the layered warmth of ‘Mellotron’ and ‘Swan Skin’, the LP captures KaySoul’s intent to tell stories beyond the dancefloor.
“The black rose represents the mystery and beauty of life. It’s about resilience, strength, and the courage to embrace change. Becoming a father shifted my whole world. This album carries that transition—the chaos, the calm, and the clarity that follows,” says KaySoul.
Ahead of the full release, three singles from the album are already out: ‘Make iiit (Vocal Mix)’, ‘Swanskin (Vocal Mix)’, and ‘Rising (Vocal Mix)’.
With co-productions alongside Steve Faets and influences drawing comparisons to Osunlade and Jimpster, the record balances deep house sensibility with live-feeling instrumentation and honest, emotional expression.
