The first episode was produced by cameraman Gabriel Santos and editor Matthew Freiheit.
Berlin-based DJ and producer Kevin Knapp and his creative partner Mario Münster just released a series of videos in which they decided to unite the worlds of global cuisine and house music. The show was released through the Eton Messy YouTube channel, which is now a record label.
After having released a preview last year, this first episode shows Kevin’s trip to San Francisco, which coincided with Scott Carelli, Worthy and other chefs and house music fans who share his passion for both worlds.
‘I often talk about my sets in terms of adding textural tracks and needing to achieve some level of balance the way a great dish does’, says Kevin Knapp regarding the connection he finds between the process of making music and that of cooking.
This episode is the first of at least two more episodes to be released in 2020. Another installment has already taken place in San Diego during the 2019 CRSSRDS Festival, and another is planned in Colorado later this year. They also hope to visit Berlin soon.
