Kompakt Records, the Cologne-based label, has unveiled their annual compilation, ‘Total 24.’ This latest installment showcases the imprint’s commitment to cutting-edge electronic music and diverse artist curation.
As ‘Total 23’ recedes into the past, ‘Total 24’ emerges, offering a sonic journey through the current electronic music landscape. The compilation features a mix of established names and exciting newcomers.
A notable lineup of artists contributes their distinct flavors to the compilation. Tee Mango’s ‘So In Love’ harks back to Kompakt’s early minimal funk roots, while Reinhard Voigt’s ‘Der, der mit dem Gummiball sang (Orange)’ pushes boundaries with an eclectic mix of animal sounds. Jürgen Paape’s ‘Chee-Caruso’ embodies Rhenish cheerfulness, and Rex The Dog’s ‘Laika’ pays tribute to the first animal in space.
