Korg presents new noise-canceling headphones for DJs

Designed to provide ‘unmatched hearing protection and sound control’.

Japanese instrument company Korg has announced its new noise-canceling headphones called NC-Q1s. Designed to be used by DJs and live performers in noisy environments, the headphones offer passive and active noise cancellation, as well as incoming sound control, and offer intelligent monitoring with equalizer and volume control for external noise. The headphones are specially designed to be used in noisy environments while maintaining high-quality sound, perfect for drummers, DJs, or sound engineers.

The NC-Q1s feature both feed-forward and feedback noise cancellation, helping to avoid distortion that other ANC headphones might experience in a noisy environment. The microphones on the inside and outside of each earbud constantly monitor signals to maintain perfect noise cancellation. DJs can tap on the outside of the earphone to activate Smart Monitoring and play the next track without removing the earphones, which can also help protect their ears. Smart Monitoring can be activated only on the left side, the right side, or both.

The headphones are compatible with high-end Bluetooth codecs like aptX for high-quality sound, as well as smart Siri and Google Assistant functions.

Watch the video below for more details. NC-Q1s have a value of around $500. You can learn more about them here.
