The album comes after a 10-year hiatus.
On November 6th, Bristolian D’n’B & jungle icon Krust made a groundbreaking return to the scene with his new full-length ‘The Edge Of Everything’, released via Crosstown Rebels. The LP is meant to be a reflection of the current global state of affairs, as it embraces the unknown in cinematic fashion,
‘This is something everyone in the world is faced with now; as we enter the abyss of unprecedented times, uncertainty and turmoil, we have to face the reality of our future and adapt, even if we’re dragged kicking and screaming, we’re going into a new world, whether we like it or not. Some people don’t want change and are reluctant to do something different, but in myself and others, I’m pushing forward to show our capabilities and say that we don’t need to be afraid. We have to embrace change, come to terms with life in a different way, and find different approaches. We need to take risks’, explains Krust about the concept behind ‘The Edge Of Everything’.
Also, of the tracks, ‘Antigravity Love’, was remixed by legendary house duo Masters At Work bringing 4 brilliant versions.
Kenny ‘Dope’ Gonzalez and Little Louie Vega dive into the single’s sonic possibilities, and deliver something ‘somewhere between broken beat, real house, cosmic acid, and future jazz-funk, rich drums swing in classic NY fashion, weighty bass throbs and elegant musicality flows on these full-blooded productions, which ooze the inimitable substance of analog’.
