Brazilian producer LAMAS has unveiled a new collaboration with MonoculeNicky Romero’s deeper alter ego—on the track ‘Halo’, featuring vocals from Dutch artist Dan Soleil. The single is now available through Protocol Recordings.

‘Halo’ reflects LAMAS’ evolving sonic direction, blending melodic house with expansive, atmospheric touches. “I produced the first version while still in Brazil in 2024, shortly before moving to Portugal. This move marked a new creative phase, where I sought to explore synths with influences from both Indie and Progressive sounds,” he shares.

Dan Soleil’s performance adds further texture to the release. The Dutch vocalist, known for collaborations with Sander van Doorn and Giuseppe Ottaviani, contributes a vocal presence that integrates seamlessly with the production’s tone.

Monocule represents Nicky Romero’s deeper musical identity, distinct from his mainstage style. Recent tracks like ‘Be There’ and ‘Now I See You’ follow this direction, with ‘Halo’ adding another expressive piece to Protocol’s catalog.

Based in Portugal, LAMAS is building his European presence through releases on Protocol, DeepWoods, Future Rave, and Zehn Records. His partnership with Monocule has produced two previous collaborations: ‘Your Eyes’ (2021) and ‘Sign’.

According to LAMAS, ‘Halo’ concludes “a kind of trilogy” of collaborations with Monocule, highlighting their ongoing artistic chemistry and reinforcing his momentum within the international circuit.
