As ADE 2025 unfolds, one event stands apart—not for its scale or lineup, but for its mission. Returning to Amsterdam’s Duke of Tokyo, Listed and Electronic Groove reunite for a night of music with purpose: a fundraiser to support children facing crisis.

At the heart of this initiative is Gunita Nagpaul, co-founder of Listed, whose commitment to building community through music has defined her career for over two decades.
From early underground raves to worldwide collaborations, Gunita’s work has consistently focused on connection, healing, and transformation through sound. With Listed’s ethos grounded in authenticity and intention, this year’s ADE fundraiser is more than just a party—it’s a statement.
In this conversation, Gunita opens up about her journey, the values behind the event, and why giving back is at the core of everything she does.
EG:Welcome, Gunita, it’s a pleasure to have you here with us for this special ADE fundraiser. Your work with Listed has been instrumental in building communities around music, and we’re honored to share this moment with you.
Gunita: Thank you for having me, it’s always a pleasure to collaborate with our good friends at Electronic Groove. Few dance music publications have the respect and longevity of EG – a big thanks to you on behalf of artists and music fans everywhere.
EG: Where are you today, and how are you feeling as we approach this unique night at Duke of Tokyo?
Gunita: I’m currently in San Francisco, and excited that we are continuing our fundraising tradition with the Duke of Tokyo at ADE, as we missed doing it last year. I love this venue and ADE, so I’m happy to return.
EG: Listed has always been about curating meaningful experiences. How does this fundraiser reflect the ethos that has guided your work since the beginning?
Gunita: Doing good for the electronic music community by curating quality music and facilitating meaningful connection has always been our ethos, but doing good for the global community, especially the most vulnerable and in need, is all the more worthwhile.
“Music is a powerful and often overlooked healing tool, and we have always been aligned on this”
EG: EG and Listed have been aligned for years. From your perspective, what has made this partnership special and enduring?
Gunita: Music and elevating artists always matters first and foremost for both EG and Listed. Together, we recognize the importance of electronic music to push forward good causes and foster community. Music is a powerful and often overlooked healing tool, and we have always been aligned on this.
EG: Community is at the heart of your work and Listed’s mission. How do you see music’s role in healing and creating solidarity in moments of international crisis?
Gunita: Music has been integral to the human experience since ancient times. It’s a shared language that breaks through our surface-level differences, serving as a reminder that we are a global family with a lot in common. I believe having a platform comes with an inherent responsibility to give back.
This past year we started an initiative called We Give a Jam! with EG and Holmar aka Acid Tourist that showed how music can and should unite with the tragedy of the LA Wildfires. Through music, we build communities and create space for healing, connection, and meaningful change. Dance music in particular has always carried cultural weight, rooted in resistance, liberation, and collective joy. At its best, our community doesn’t just gather to dance — we rise to support those in need. Listed has always believed in rallying behind important causes, turning music into movement.
EG: You’ve worked with some of the industry’s most respected artists. How do you choose who to bring into projects like this, and what qualities matter most to you?
Gunita: The vibe and worldview of the artists is everything. For example, Anja Schneider has always been doing good for the music community through her music education and elevating all types of artists through her platforms. Robag Wruhme is a universally-respected producer and DJ who has been a favorite of mine for years. I believe he picked the cause for us to feature. I love to feature old school and new school artists—hence Galen, Saqib, Jenner, and Florian Kruse. They are all giving back to the scene in some way through running their bad-ass labels and event gatherings. I always strive to be authentic in my work and who I work with.
EG: What’s a moment in your journey with Listed that reminded you why you started doing this in the first place?
Gunita: My favorite achievement is creating those extra-special experiences that take me back to the wonder and joy that I felt when I first found dance music and the underground. One event that comes to mind is our event series The Real Deal Party Feel, which was specifically inspired by the spirit and nostalgia of early rave.
Often seeing legendary artists that I have loved for decades, like Sasha & Digweed, Danny Howells, DJ Three, or Underworld, really reminds me why I do all this in the first place. Underworld are still bringing the RAVE in their 60s, and doing it in a transcendental way. A good friend summed up this sentiment perfectly the other day: “the rave never ends for us lifers.” Too true! #listedforlife
EG: Beyond this fundraiser, what are you most excited about for Listed’s future?
Gunita: We’re in the midst of a significant expansion, bringing on new agents and artists to the roster (PillowTalk, Niki Sadeki, and Cali Lanauze already announced, with more confirmed in the pipeline), which is definitely exciting. Also, Listed’s 20th anniversary is coming up, which is certainly a cause for celebration… keep an eye out for some special announcements!
EG: On a personal level, how does it feel knowing this event will directly support children facing unimaginable challenges?
Gunita: It’s hard to understate — children are the next generation of artists, musicians, doctors, scientists, politicians, and leaders of our deeply interconnected world. Humanity’s future is in their collective hands. We may all live in our individual little bubbles, but the truth is what happens on the other side of the planet has ripple effects that concern us all.
“Through music, we build communities and create space for healing, connection, and meaningful change”
EG: ADE is often about business and celebration, but this night has a different focus. What do you hope artists and attendees take away from it?
Gunita: I hope artists and the fans are reminded that events can be more than just a great experience for one night, but actually have the capacity to make positive change in the world. The more we can inspire other venues, promoters, and partygoers to gather with purpose, the healthier our scene will be.
EG: When the lights go down and people leave Duke of Tokyo on October 23rd, what’s the one feeling or message you hope they carry home with them?
Gunita: All it takes is a little caring and you can make a difference in the world outside of music. Not everyone is as fortunate as us to be in this community with access to events like these, so it’s our obligation to pay that forward. And it can be fun!
EG: Thank you, Gunita, for sharing your vision and for being such a vital part of this fundraiser.
Gunita: As always, grateful to make some music and magic with our EG fam. Only a few days until we come together on the dance floor — don’t wait to grab your ticket!
EG and Listed return to ADE at Duke of Tokyo on Thursday, October 23rd. Get your tickets here.
