Adam Beyer returns with ‘Explorer Vol.1’, his first studio album in more than two decades. Released via Drumcode, the 16-track LP signals a bold new chapter for the Swedish producer and label head, offering a panoramic take on his creative evolution and current sound.
Crafted during a period of personal and professional reflection, the record blends melodic techno, Afro house, Detroit influences, and breakbeats — all filtered through Beyer’s signature Drumcode style. Featuring collaborations with Coco Francavilla, Chris Avantgarde, Layton Giordani, Julian Jeweil, and HNTR, and vocal contributions from Kyozo, the album showcases a versatile palette that spans hypnotic club tracks to introspective electronica.
“This record is where I’ve landed after years of evolving, not just as a DJ and producer, but as a person,” says Beyer. “It’s a true reflection of where I’m at, not just peak-time bangers, but a full sonic journey.”
Opening with the cinematic ‘Silent Mapping’ and closing on the introspective ‘The Long Way Home’, the album charts a personal and artistic arc. Tracks like ‘Taking Back Control’, ‘Desolate Lands’, and the title cut ‘Explorer’ have already found a place in Beyer’s recent sets, while standout moments like ‘The Distance Between Us’ and ‘Tanit’ reveal a deeper, more experimental side.
