Barry Can’t Swim’s new single, ‘Kimbara’, is out now, marking his first release since his debut album ‘When Will We Land?’ on Ninja Tune.
‘Kimbara’, a club-ready track, features vibrant horns and mesmerising vocals. It samples ‘Quimbara’, a song by Grammy-winning Cuban artist Celia Cruz. The term ‘Kimbara’ signifies enjoyment, resonating with Barry’s uplifting music style.
Already a favorite in Barry’s DJ sets, this track is the first of several more releases planned for this year. Barry is also set to perform at major festivals such as Primavera, Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, as well as headline shows across the UK.
Barry Can’t Swim gained considerable attention in 2020 when he signed with Ninja Tune’s imprint, Technicolour. His debut album topped the UK Dance album charts, was crowned Radio 1’s Dance Album of the Year, and received acclaim from various outlets.
