Electronic music artist Ben Böhmer has released his third studio album, ‘Bloom’—an 11-track LP showcasing his songwriting and compositional prowess, out now via Ninja Tune
A classically trained pianist, Böhmer crafts emotive compositions using minimal equipment: a piano, microphone, and computer. His talent has attracted collaborations with industry heavyweights like Lykke Li and Oh Wonder, enriching the album’s diverse soundscape.
‘Bloom’ showcases Böhmer’s versatility, blending electronic music with his signature melancholic style. From the opening piano of ‘Martin’ to Enfant Sauvage’s vocals on ‘Evermore’ and the pulsating rhythms of ‘Rust,’ each track highlights Böhmer’s melodic expertise.
The album’s final single, ‘The Sun,’ featuring Oh Wonder’s Josephine Vander Gucht, encapsulates the theme of rebirth that runs through ‘Bloom’. This track balances Böhmer’s established sound with his evolving compositional instincts, delivering empowering lyrics about overcoming adversity and embracing personal growth.
