German electronic duo Booka Shade, composed of Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier, have returned with their twelfth studio album, ‘For Real’ via their own imprint, Blaufield Music. The LP marks the label’s 150th release and features a blend of previously released singles and brand-new material.
‘For Real’ takes the listeners back to the organic and melodic sound of Booka Shade, a bit more in the tradition of the ‘EVE’ album,’ they commented. Known for their Grammy-nominated productions and acclaimed live shows, Booka Shade continue to push melodic house and techno forward with emotive storytelling and refined production.
The eleven-track project flows through warm, introspective soundscapes. From the groove-driven ‘Electric Birds’ to the commanding ‘Virtual Face’, the album offers melancholic undertones layered over pulsating rhythms. Singles like ‘P.I.N. 4’, ‘(Neon Lights) They Glow’, ‘Save Me’ and ‘Your Command’ reappear alongside unreleased tracks carefully refined from the duo’s archives.
Booka Shade will also embark on a ‘For Real’ album tour, with special launch events at Säälchen in Berlin on March 22nd and EartH in London on March 28th.
