British electronic pioneers Orbital have released a new single, ‘Deepest’, featuring acclaimed actor Tilda Swinton. The track is a reimagined version of their 1989 cut ‘Deeper’ and arrives digitally via the reissued ‘Radiccio’ EP. The release follows Swinton’s viral appearance with the duo on stage at Glastonbury 2024, where she performed a live narration over the track.
The release coincides with the announcement of the reissue of Orbital’s seminal second album, commonly known as the ‘Brown Album’, out May 23rd, 2025, via London Records. Originally released in 1993, the album helped redefine the boundaries of electronic music, mixing ambient textures, techno, sampling experiments, and UK rave energy into one genre-defying record.
The new ‘Brown Album’ box set includes 23 bonus tracks, spanning rare mixes, live material, and unreleased recordings from the era. It will be available in multiple formats, including a 4LP vinyl box set, 4CD set, cassette, and digital. Highlights include mixes by Underworld, CJ Bolland, and Psychick Warriors Ov Gaia, along with a live set from The Limelight in New York from 1992.
To celebrate the reissue, Orbital will also embark on a UK and European tour, including special events at Rough Trade East and a live stream from their sold-out Brixton Academy show.
