Sparrow and Barbossa will release their upcoming EP, ‘You Go’, on June 27th via Circoloco Records. The 4-track project continues their exploration of tribal percussion, piano-driven hooks, and a fusion of electronic and organic textures.
The EP’s standout single ‘Float’, featuring R&B vocalist BAYLI, is now available. The track gained early traction after being named Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune on BBC Radio 1 back on May 23rd. The release follows a busy season for the duo, which included their debut performance at Coachella.
Uruguayan and Swiss duo Sparrow and Barbossa is the collaborative project of Bryan Coletta and Emiliano Haberli. Coletta, the son of jazz guitarist Francis Coletta, brings a refined melodic sensibility, while Haberli contributes deep rhythmic knowledge from his classical percussion training and DJ residency at Space Ibiza. Together, they’ve developed a versatile, globally influenced sound that’s led to several Beatport #1s and collaborations with artists like Sia, Rampa, Deadmau5, and Jamie Jones.
