DJ & producer Charity Redding just presented her latest release, the ‘Reunion’ EP, which is out now on Up Stars Records. The two-track offering is a vibrant exploration of femininity, desire, hope, and love, weaving global influences with deep electronic soundscapes.
First is the title track, ‘Reunion,’ a tribute to the East African island that inspired it. Infused with Creole heritage and hypnotic rhythms, immerse listeners in a world of deep connection and raw emotion. Then ‘Lunye’ brings a collaboration with South African talent Sontshikazi. Sung in her native IsiZulu, this uplifting cut radiates resilience, delivering a stirring message of perseverance and hope, through driving beats and soulful vocals.
Charity Redding emerged from the ‘90s Nebraska rave scene with a passion for blending global sounds into her sets. Her personal journey -including overcoming significant challenges such as the path to sobriety – has only deepened her commitment to building a supportive and inclusive artistic community with like-minded artists.
