Chris Lake has unveiled his debut album, ‘Chemistry’, out now on his own Black Book Records imprint. The 15-track collection spans two decades of creative evolution, capturing the British artist’s signature sound while embracing new levels of collaboration and emotional depth.
The album includes previously released favorites like ‘Savana’, ‘Ease My Mind’, and ‘Psycho’, alongside the new single ‘Falling’, a collaboration with Bonobo and written by HAYLA. Known for blending euphoric vocals with percussive drive, Lake leans into UK-inspired rhythms and late-night atmospheres throughout the record. Most of the tracks were developed in close studio partnerships, including contributions from his wife Aatig and a long-awaited return from Alexis Roberts.
“This is two decades of work all come together,” said Lake. “I wanted something cohesive, where each track still lives in its own world — and doing it independently made that possible.”
In recent months, Lake previewed the album with a global string of performances, including his landmark Coachella Campgrounds set and sold-out shows across Australia and the US. He continues the rollout with his Chemistry Album Tour, hitting 13 venues across the US this fall. A portion of ticket sales will support Oceanic Global through a partnership with PLUS1. Tickets are available here.
