Italian techno icon Deborah De Luca has released her latest studio album, ‘Hard Pop Vol2’, out now on Smilax Records. Following the success of the first installment, the new LP spans 25 tracks that balance her signature rave-ready energy with pop melodies and driving techno grooves.
‘Hard Pop Vol2’ opens with ‘Nero’, a thunderous cut with shadowy vocals, setting the tone for a journey packed with pulsating rhythms and melodic tension. ‘Echoes’ and ‘I’m a Criminal’ explore darker textures, while tracks like ‘Possess You’ and ‘Squid’ lean into twisted, peak-time club territory. ‘Survivor’ emerges as a likely anthem with its high-intensity momentum, and Valeria Mancini guests on the trance-inflected ‘Superstar‘. De Luca also puts her own spin on tracks by Eddie Brock and Emma Marrone, delivering two standout remixes.
With albums like ‘Ten’, ‘She Sleeps’, and ‘Hard Pop’, De Luca has become a key figure in bringing harder techno to broader audiences.
